Rising with Inclusive Support and Engagement
TenU RISE – Rising with Inclusive Support and Engagement – is an international mentoring programme to foster an inclusive community of peer-learning and support. TenU RISE participants (mentors and mentees) are a diverse group of technology transfer professionals who share the ambition of benefitting society through research commercialisation.
TenU RISE supports tech transfer talent through inclusive mentoring and individually tailored advice, helping participants to grow and develop personally as well as professionally.
Programme Philosophy
TenU RISE is designed to be a powerful catalyst for growth among tech transfer professionals. TenU RISE is built on the following foundations:
Diversity: Diversity fosters creativity and enriches the mentor-mentee relationship, by challenging biases and broadening horizons. We match participants to maximise diversity and mobilise the benefits of unique insights and cultural competences.
Equity: We acknowledge that everyone has varying needs. TenU RISE provides tailored support to address different learning styles.
Inclusion: TenU RISE is designed to be a safe environment where participants feel seen, heard, and valued, regardless of their identity, background or experience.
International Learning: International mentoring exposes participants to the perspectives, and problem-solving approaches of their international peers. It encourages empathy, adaptability, creative thinking, and intercultural awareness.
Personal and Professional Development: Growth is at the heart of mentoring. TenU RISE aims to nurture the skills, resilience, and self-awareness of mentors and mentess, fostering their holistic growth. Both the individual as well as their career will benefit from effective mentoring.
Engagement: TenU RISE participants lean in to create the change they want to see in their workplace and the wider sector by drawing on the support of the TenU international network.
TenU RISE aims to be a force for positive change empowering individuals, connecting the tech transfer community internationally, and shaping a more inclusive and dynamic professional landscape.
